JACE THE ACE....Old Golden Tonsils.
I
s the brain behind this formidable outfit of rock and roll desperadoes. With his canny leadership skills, Ace manages to harness the wild exuberance and passionate impulses of his band mates and somehow mould it into semi-presentable entertainment. He no longer calls the rural city of Bathurst home due to the local TV station's constant mispronunciation of the band's name.

Player Profile

FULL NAME: Jace "The Ace" Rooke

POSITION IN BAND: Out front rockin',yelling and falling over.

TOOLS OF THE TRADE + FAVE TOOL:Yes I have a guitar. It is a 70's Ibanez Telecaster Thinline, and since some inconciderate prick stole my Epiphone Casino, Gregoy J has kindly lent me his Tele (thanks Gregory J). My main amp will be a A Reynolds Valve Art head (currently under construction) At the moment I am using a Baby Sovtech 50 watt head and a Marshall 4 x 10cabinet, I also drag out the Fender Vibroverb re-issue on the odd ocasion.

TRANSPORT: One British racing maroon Tarago, It's a 1985 which was a pretty good year for Toyota and family trucksters in general.

FAVOURITE DRINKING HOLE: The Tatt's in Bathurst

PREVIOUS BAND HISTORY: I did a bit of bass and guitar in Lindy Morison's country pop outfit "blue", travelled around a bit doing the "solo acoustic " thing and played in way too many cover bands. I even had a crack at mixing chuckle punksters Nancy Vandal for a spell (I was not that pissed honestly).

MOST MEMORABLE IN MOMENT ROCK: I believe it was a gig at the Espy, in the Gershwin room and I was trying to do the crazy Rock'n'Roll ending, I tripped over and as I was on my way down I managed to take Gregory J out as well. Didn't I fell like a true champ!
